Any entity proposing a connection to the ACRWC’s sewer trunk line must submit a Connection Application through the local municipality to the ACRWC.
If the application is approved a Connection Approval Letter will be issued to the applicant by the ACRWC. If more information is required, the applicant will be contacted. If the application is denied, a response letter will also be issued to the applicant.
Qualifications for a New Connection
The ACRWC sewer system is a regional trunk system dedicated to servicing the ACRWC’s member municipalities, and will not be incorporated as part of the local servicing networks. Individual property connections are not permitted.
Guided by the above qualifications, the minimum requirements of a new connection are:
1) the ultimate service area shall be at least 16 hectares; or
2) the service area shall provide a minimum average dry weather design flow of 95,000 L/day.
Complete the application and email it, along with any supporting documentation, to the Alberta Capital Region Wastewater Commission (email@example.com). For further instructions, please refer to page 1 of the Connection Application.
